Home | For Those Traveling by Bus:From Puerto Viejo (PV), take the 7:30 AM Direct bus to San Jose(SJO). Ask the bus driver to let you off in Siquirres(SQS) at the CARIBBEAN DISH Restaurant. Ask the driver at the beginning of the trip, and remind them again after Limon just before SQS. Say something like this: Por favor, puede parar en Siquirres por el Restaurante Caribbean Dish? The restaurant is about an hour west of Limon on the main highway midway between Limon and SJO. The bus normally drops you off a couple blocks before Caribbean Dish, but if you ask, they should drop you at the restaurant. The Caribbean Dish is a meeting point for many river and Tortuguero trips, complete with changing rooms and showers. Everyone in the area knows where it is in case you need to ask. The manager will be expecting you. Go inside and tell them that you are there for the RAINFOREST WORLD rafting trip. A car will take you and your belongings to meet the group at the river put-in. At this point you will transfer all of your belongings into the shuttle van where they will be secure. Between 3:00 and 4:00PM you will be at our river take-out facility just outside of SQS where you can shower, change and have a cold drink and snack if you like. Then our shuttle van will take you to the SQS bus terminal. If you are going on to SJO, a direct bus leaves every hour. You should be in SJO between 6:00 and 8:00 PM. If you are traveling back to the South Caribbean (Puerto Viejo, etc.), you must catch the 4:30pm bus to Limon in order to catch the last bus from Limon to Puerto Viejo, which departs at 6:00pm. In Limon, to save time, you will have to take a taxi to the other bus terminal (about 350 colones). Or, better yet, if it is getting too close to 6:00pm, walk to the bus stop on the road that leads to Puerto Viejo, in front of the gas station, very close to the intersection with the road to San Jose. This is about two blocks from the bus terminal. The bus will pick you up at this stop about 5-10 minutes after 6:00pm.
